VisionFinger.com Launches New HTML Website
VisionFinger.com takes down their “flashy” Flash-powered website and replaces it with a brand-spanking new, WordPress-powered (3.0), database-driven, HTML/CSS/JAVA gear-boxed website.
Type in the letters V-I-S-I-O-N-F-I-N-G-E-R, then add a period (or “dot” as some may say), and finish it off with the letters C-O-M, and a mysterious eye, meticulously placed within a static graphic, greets you. Not a whole lot has changed since the 23rd of September, as practically the same thing would have occurred then. However, the eye is more prominent, the background is more elaborate, the “Enter” button is a tad bit sleeker, and there’s a banner calling guests to sign up for a newsletter. Not much is different, until you click and release the Enter button.
The browser cranks and loads another page, but it is not the flashy Flash-powered page that would have come up on September 23rd. Nope. As of the 24th of September, VisionFinger.com’s main page was no longer a Flash movie, but in fact a WordPress-powered website.
The change was issued by Vision Finger’s CEO and Creative Director, Feruzi Mwero.
“Our intentions from the beginning, when we launched the Flash site, was to build an HTML version. We dropped the ball while we were scrambling to elicit more business during the economic recession. Our focus was strictly geared to keep ourselves afloat and at the time, the issue of the website seemed trivial.” — Feruzi MweroMwero went on to say that as time kept passing by the fact that they were relying on a Flash-powered, SEO-unfriendly website, to rebuild the business, just kept bothering him and he felt it was about time they do something about it. So they did.
Mwero also explained that although they wanted to keep the Flash site as well as launch the new HTML version, there were some inherit issues they wanted to address and for now decided it was best to just go with a full replacement.
The new website is powered by the database-driven, highly agile and customizable, WordPress 3.0 platform, and utilizes the admin section, as a CMS (content management system), for site updates. The HTML/CSS/JAVA based code is highly SEO-friendly and much easier to navigate.
VisionFinger.com Set to Launch DayDream®
VisionFinger.com is making plans to officially launch their e-newsletter, DayDream®, roughly a month after their new website is up and running.
DayDream® is described by Vision Finger’s CEO and Creative Director, Feruzi Mwero, as Vision Finger’s answer to the daily questions presented to them, and a shortcut to the many pieces of advise given by the company to their clients, prospects, or curious passers-by (Mwero defines “passers-by” as individuals not interested in retaining Vision Finger’s services, but nonetheless, have questions to ask).
The e-newsletter will focus on tips, tricks, advise and news surrounding the world of web & graphics design, web development, social media, web marketing, and email marketing. The newsletter will also dip into the business and tech science community as advancements and news sometimes spills over into Vision Finger’s gamut of expertise.
DayDream® will be distributed by email, and will initially utilize Mailchimp for their bulk email database and service.
